Madison Rising (http://www.madisonrising.com), America’s most patriotic rock band, is on a mission to make great rock music and send a message thatAmerican culture is alive and well.
Unlike most popular music that focuses on negativity, anti-American sentiment or hedonistic desires, patriotic rockers Madison Rising go the extra mile to craft songs with positive messages; songs that are about something – soldiers, sacrifice, freedom, liberty, gratitude, and living the American dream. This is exactly what this country needs right now, and millions of Americans have been touched by the effort, passion and sheer love of country these young men put into everything they do.
Madison Rising released its best-selling rendition of the Star Spangled Banner in the summer of 2012 and both the song and video have become huge hits, catapulting the band into the national spotlight and creating one of the most loyal fanbases in rock music history. “Awesome,” “deeply moving,” “chilling,” and “the best ever,” are just some of the superlatives used to describe Madison Rising’s rendition of the song that celebrates what being an American is all about.
The band has performed at hundreds of military, corporate and veterans events, NFL half-time shows, the opening ceremony of the 2014 Special Olympics, at NASCAR, Sturgis, and other major venues, and has opened for rock legends including Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steppenwolf, Kansas, Weezer, Toby Keith and others.
On November 5, 2013, Madison Rising released their second album – American Hero – dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces, along with the police, firefighters and other first responders. The album consists of ten tracks, anchored by their rendition of The Star Spangled Banner, and closing with a new, but equally powerful rendition of America The Beautiful.

Madison Rising lead singer Rio Hiett served nearly 20 years in the United States Air Force. As an OIF/OEF veteran, he had 5 separate deployments to Iraq, Qatar, and Jordan as his units supplied close air support to Marines in the “Battle of Fallujah” as well as the “Surge” to take back the city of Baghdad. He became the first Air National Guard member to instruct at the Sheppard Air Force Base Munitions Systems Technology School, then subsequently retired at the rank of Master Sergeant as a Production Superintendent. Over the past decade, his intense energy, combined with a southern bluesy vocal mix and a touch of hardline grit, garnered him the vocalist position for the national act 10Blade, the Baltimore based hard-rock band, Broken Beneath and now America’s most patriotic rock band, Madison Rising.
