On Thursday, May 28, Concerned Veterans for America kicked off its Defend Freedom Tour in the Buckeye State – visiting three major cities Akron, Columbus, and Cincinnati. We were excited to see so many veterans, military families, and supporters engaged and ready to fight for freedom.
At all of our Ohio stops, we had a very special guest and Fox News Contributor, Katie Pavlich speak to her love of cowboy boots, capitalism, and those who served this country – not necessarily in that order. In Columbus and Cincinnati, CVA Special Operations Advisor, Jason Beardsley along with Terry Schappert, a Green Beret and TV personality, livened up the party and encouraged Americans to stay involved in the battle here at home.
For the first time, Concerned Veterans for America awarded local veterans with the Hometown Hero Award. Each of these men didn’t unlace their boots when they came home; instead they have devoted their lives to serving those who served this country. These three men are truly heroes and we were humbled to have them join us on the tour.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make these events possible and all of those who attended. If you missed us in Ohio, it’s not too late to meet us in Virginia to continue the fight.
